A quick google search of Kos, and Agios Stefanos is one of the first pictures you will see!
This beach is the most famous and ‘instagrammable’ beach on the island and for good reason.
Offering a perfect combination of nature and history, this beach should definitely be added to your to-do list whilst visiting our island.
Situated just 3-kilometers northeast of the village of Kefalos, Agios Stefanos offers a picturesque landscape with ancient Greek ruins to your left and clear blue waters ahead. Talking about waters, Agios Stefanos is perfect for all ages, as the beach is sandy and the waters shallow.
Also, the beach is very well organized, offering sunbeds galore, the opportunity to try out some watersports and a canteen with refreshments and snacks throughout the day.
Looking out to sea you will find a miniature island, with a mere diameter of 50 metres called ‘Castri’, featuring the small monastery of St. Nicholas. ‘Castri’ not only adds to the beautiful scenery but one can also swim over to it and add a mini exploration to their day!
